Gübelin x Nadine Ghosn: A Friendship Set in Colour
Some collaborations begin with a creative brief. This one began with a friendship. The Sparks Heart collaboration between Gübelin and jewellery designer Nadine Ghosn grew from the long-standing friendship between Ghosn and Raphael Gübelin, and from a shared fascination with coloured gemstones. What began with the Sparks Heart bracelet in May 2025 has since evolved with the addition of a matching necklace, introduced in February 2026, extending a personal story of connection into a distinctive fine jewellery collaboration.

At its heart is a meeting of two creative perspectives. Gübelin brings generations of expertise in gemmology, gemstone sourcing and craftsmanship, while Ghosn is known for an unconventional design language that brings wit and playfulness into the world of fine jewellery. Her own philosophy is rooted in transforming familiar ideas into something unexpected, an approach shaped by her background in art, economics and the luxury industry.
For Ghosn, working with Gübelin also opened a new creative territory. As she explains, “Their expertise and knowledge in gem sourcing empowered me to delve into the world of coloured gems.”

The result is both joyful and meticulously considered. Crafted in 18k rose gold, the Sparks Heart bracelet and necklace bring together alternating heart-shaped aquamarines, morganites, tanzanites and tourmalines. Shades of blue, green and soft pink move across the pieces, with each gemstone carefully selected and set to capture the light. Behind the seemingly effortless playfulness lies Gübelin’s expertise in cutting, selecting and combining vivid coloured gemstones into a harmonious composition.

The collaboration also feels particularly at home within Sparks, a collection conceived around individuality, contemporary elegance and the expressive potential of coloured gemstones. Like every Sparks creation, the pieces carry Gübelin’s signature ruby: a discreet hallmark of the House and a symbol of its Deeply Inspired philosophy.

Rather than treating the heart simply as a traditional romantic motif, Gübelin and Ghosn give it a lighter, more modern character: colourful, expressive and designed with individuality in mind. It is a collaboration built on friendship, but also on the idea that fine jewellery can combine exceptional craftsmanship with a genuine sense of joy.
